For us.
For everyone.

Sexual Awareness Means Everyone.

Three women in mid-conversation at a shaded café table in St. Petersburg.

We know things.

  • Things we have lived.
  • Things we have learned.
  • Things we have heard.

We don’t all know the same things.

There is more to know when more of us are part of the conversation.

We have always talked to each other.

  • What we know.
  • What we heard.
  • What we have lived.
Two friends sharing a quiet conversation on a St. Petersburg porch.

But what we hear is not always the whole story.

Five women interacting in a muralled St. Petersburg courtyard.

More of us in the conversation.

  • Different lives.
  • Different experiences.
  • Different questions.
  • Different things to share.

S.A.M.E. starts with what we already have: each other.

Health begins with what we let ourselves learn.

Too many women, and Black women in particular, have been told, quietly or loudly, that PrEP isn’t for them.

That prevention is something other people need.

That asking for protection says something about who you are.

None of that is true.

Sexually transmitted infections do not check your relationship status, your church, your ZIP code, or your character.

They move through people who love and trust and live full lives.

Prevention is for all of us.

Two women in close exchange on a couch as a third arrives at the doorway.

The question is already an act of care.

What is the S.A.M.E. Project?

S.A.M.E. — Sexual Awareness Means Everyone — is a St. Petersburg community initiative for sexual health education, awareness, equity, and access to care.

Through community conversations and trusted connections, S.A.M.E. creates more ways to learn, ask questions, and connect with information, prevention, testing, and care.

Sometimes “What’s S.A.M.E.?” is where the conversation begins.
